MK8 GTI Magsafe Mount

Honestly, the wireless charger in the MK8 GTI sucks... And wireless CarPlay/Android auto is even worse... But we have a solution! 

Introducing our new MK8 GTI Magsafe center console mounts! These mounts come with your choice of a Magsafe wireless charger or a regular Magsafe magnet (no wireless charging or charging cable included).  The Magsafe wireless charger comes with a double-ended USB Type C charging cable.  

The mount is very solid and attaches to the right side of the center console with 3M VHB.  Test the mounting location before removing the film on the VHB adhesive to find the mounting location that works best for you.  The mount should have our "C" logo on the left side facing the driver and the arrow on top of the mount pointing towards the front of the vehicle.  The mount has the text "Front" and "Rear" embossed in the front and rear faces as well.  

For MK8s equipped with automatic transmissions, we recommend installing the mount with the front edge of the mount in-line with the start of the curve into the wireless charging cubby area, as seen below:

For MK8 Elitists with manual transmissions, you may find that moving the mount down towards the cup holders is better.  Again, before removing the film from the VHB, place the mount in the location you think would be best, place your phone or Air suspension controller on the mount, and shift through all the gears to make sure it does not get in the way.
